About me
Julia Siggins is an energetic artist who captures moments of passion and joy through various mediums, always grounded in humility. Now based in Scamander, Tasmania, Julia began her artistic journey in northern Germany, where the vibrant European art scene and seasonal diversity shaped her creativity.
Her early travels abroad deepened her appreciation for nature and its preservation—a value that continues to define both her artistry and personality. Julia works intuitively, allowing each piece to evolve organically: “I often create with no end state in mind, but simply focus on the feeling I hope to evoke. If viewers stop, smile, and linger, then my work is done.”
Julia’s acclaimed body of work The Art of Healing gained recognition across Sydney and Tasmania exhibitions, reflecting her belief in art as a medium for emotional connection and restoration. At the Bay of Fires Winter Art Festival 2025, Julia won the “People’s Choice Award” for her watercolour on paper works “Turtle Reef”. The artwork provided a unique foray into the challenges presented by Climate Change.

In love with Tasmania’s unrivalled beauty and venerability, Julia continues to explore nature-inspired themes, producing wilderness settings, ocean life, and human-form artworks that celebrate the beauty and fragility of life.
Julia’s art aims to bridge emotional expression and environmental awareness, inviting viewers to rediscover the profound connection between humanity and nature.
